I’m Dominique Zonyeé, content curator, digital brand developer and media trainer—and all around media renaissance woman. From the gate I knew I was destined for a career in journalism and new media.
My bachelor of arts CUNY City College is in print journalism. But that wasn’t enough so I got my masters of arts in multimedia journalism from New York University. What can I say? I’m dedicated to my craft. For more than a decade I’ve been a content curator, producing video content, conceptualizing social media strategies, building digital brands and breaking content records. I got my start as a reporter, when print media was on it’s way out so a majority of my professional experience is digital.
From reporting and writing, I naturally graduated to producing video and visual content. I would literally study brands, learn about album releases and new projects and curate unique ways to share across various social channels. I did say I do all things media, so I also served as a social media copywriter for Beats By Dre, BET, TNT, FX and more. I’ve even worked directly with tastemakers and influencers on brand expansion AND with recording artists on creating campaigns to roll out their latest projects. And since I am “The Interview Guru” I also offer media training to artists and influencers to prepare them for public speaking and major interviews.
Most importantly—and where it all started—I am an outstanding writer and communicator which has allowed me to develop voices across many platforms and brands. For me, journalism is an art form.
